MyAlarm

Support

MyAlarm: Stay Focused is a local-first alarm app for iPhone and iPad on iOS 26 or later. It uses the iOS system alarm experience rather than an ordinary notification. Use the checks below before relying on it for an important alarm.

Check that it rings on this device

  1. Open MyAlarm and confirm alarm permission is allowed.
  2. Turn on Silent mode and, if you want to verify that case, enable a Focus.
  3. Choose Run a 1-minute test alarm.
  4. Lock the device and wait for the test.
  5. Confirm the system alarm appears and that Stop or Snooze behaves as shown in MyAlarm.
Important: AlarmKit can present the system alarm through Silent mode and, when needed, Focus. MyAlarm does not change Silent mode, Focus, or volume, and no app can guarantee that a person will notice or respond. Run the one-minute check on the same device before relying on an important alarm.

Understand persistent follow-ups

When Keep alerting after Stop is enabled, MyAlarm schedules each follow-up as an independent system alarm. Stopping one confirms only that alert; it does not cancel the remaining follow-ups. Turn the parent alarm off in MyAlarm to cancel the known remaining sequence.

If a schedule needs attention

Why does MyAlarm require iOS 26?

MyAlarm requires iOS 26 or later because it uses AlarmKit, Apple’s system alarm framework, rather than ordinary notifications for alarm delivery. Earlier iOS versions do not provide AlarmKit, so the App Store does not offer MyAlarm on them — that is expected, not an error. Ordinary notifications provide different delivery behavior.

To see whether your device can run iOS 26, check Apple’s current list of supported iPhone models or supported iPad models, and look for available updates in Settings > General > Software Update. Run the 1-minute test before relying on an important alarm; no app can guarantee that a person will notice or respond.
